Extended reality (XR) has the potential to reshape the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries, offering new methods of design and construction, including high-fidelity digital twins, process simulation, and monitoring construction activities. However, despite recent developments, there is a need for more research to develop a seamless integration between XR technologies and the current systems and tools used in design and construction, as well as to address the role of the human in an augmented future. This event will bring together industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to examine the latest developments in XR and its potential to transform the AEC industry, specifically focusing on applications in construction, human-robot collaboration, human-centered design, and design education.
