One of the superpowers of Speculative Fiction is its ability to engage with the extremes, challenge the status quo, and free up the design process from the narrow confines it often times finds itself in. In this workshop we will collaboratively populate, through deep research and quick visualization, an edition of the Detroit Free Press for the 21st of July, 2035. This newspaper of the future will contain our collectively projected futures, ranging across a wide range of cultural future-casting and informed stories and scenarios, allowing us to poke our heads out into the Future and look around at the mad, nuanced, messy and eccentric world of the Future.
